40 page graphic novel adapting the short story “Devils in Daylight” written by Jun’ichiro Tanizaki completed for my Senior Capstone Project. Written in 1920’s Japan, this murder mystery focuses on themes of obsession, psychological decay, and the corrupting and energizing power of love.
My adaptation aims to capture the drama of the novella’s narrative depictions of horror, mystery, and romance, while challenging myself to experiment widely in style throughout.
